Kaitlin Keeler is the Marketing & Communications Officer for Oakland County, MI Government. She is a proud member of the county’s inaugural Equity Council, serving in a leadership role on their Planning Team, focusing on how to operationalize equity across the county’s communications channels.

She leads the countywide Digital Editorial Team that creates and publishes engaging multimedia content throughout the County’s various channels. Additionally, Kaitlin wrote and implemented the County’s first enterprise social media marketing strategy integrating all departments’ social presences with the centralized goals of the County including a comprehensive policy, account governance and interactive training.

Kaitlin is celebrated as a thought leader in the government social media space, recently being named the 2022 Social Media Professional of the Year. Her work has also led Oakland County to receive national awards: the National Association of Counties Achievement Awards for their Digital Editorial Process and Social Media Strategy & Policy as well as several campaigns including the 2021 Best in Category for Civic Education and Public Information; and 1st Place in the Center for Digital Government inaugural Overall Experience Award.
